Questions to EURCAW

‘Questions to EURCAW (Q2E)’ is a fast-track service offered by EU Reference Centre for Animal Welfare Ruminants & Equines providing technical and scientific advice on ruminant and equine welfare. The Q2E service is available to Competent Authorities, National Reference Centres, Supporting Bodies and the European Commission. While EURCAW Ruminants & Equines tries to provide answers to all Q2E requests, questions may be rejected for various reasons, such as the requestor is not an eligible organisation. If a question is unclear, EURCAW Ruminants & Equines will ask the original requestor for clarification and may change the final question in the published answer. Once the Q2E response has been prepared, it is submitted to the Commission for review, before publication of the EURCAW Ruminants & Equines website. The name of the requestor and Member State are not included in the publication.

Whilst the Q2E is a fast-track service, the preparation process can take approximately 6 weeks. During the submission phase of the Q2E, you will be given an opportunity to indicate the urgency of the request.
